Jobs the Media Covers
We tagged 916 article connections between 19 industries and 38 occupations from our news pipeline. The flows show which industries are driving coverage of which jobs.
Key finding: Software and IT Services dominate the left side with thick flows to programmers and developers. But the most interesting pattern is how Legal Services connects tightly to a full ecosystem — lawyers, paralegals, and legal secretaries are all being discussed together, suggesting AI is reshaping entire professional hierarchies, not just individual roles.
Methodology
Articles are collected daily from 124 sources and classified for relevance to AI and workforce impact. Each relevant article is tagged to both NAICS industries and O*NET occupations using hybrid keyword + Gemini classification.
A connection between an industry and an occupation means they were both tagged on the same article — the article discussed AI's impact on that occupation within that industry context. Only pairs with 3+ shared articles are shown.
